10Be and 26Al are long lived radio-nuclides produced primarily by cosmic rays. Since they have fairly long half-lives of 1.5 and 0.7 million years and common chemical characteristics, it has great potential to take use of 26Al/10Be ratio for paleo-dating of sediments. Chinese loess in LuoChuan, ShanXi province, has been studied thoroughly in China and standard section of loess has been determined by many geological methods. As AMS method has superiority in high sensitivity, small amount of sample and short time in measurement, this makes it possible and widely applied to measure very low content of cosmogenic radio-nuclides such as 10Be and 26Al. Here preliminary results of 10Be and 26Al, produced in-situ of Chinese LuoChuan loess, will be given by 26Al/10Be based on CIAE HI-13 tandem AMS system in China. These results will also be compared with the data from standard LuoChuan loess section. 26Al/10Be AMS method is expected for precise dating of loess stratum.
