In a recent publication (Knie et al., Phys.Rev.Lett.93(2004)171103) we have reported on a 60Fe anomaly in a deep-sea manganese crust and their implications for a nearby supernova source. Further research on this subject is ongoing. The status of these studies will be shown; future steps will be discussed.
